BAR MANAGER or PARTNERSHIP with OPTIONAL ACCOMODATION
The Kings Arms Hotel, Dalbeattie is looking for either (i) an individual experienced bar manager OR (ii) couple/ partnership of a bar manager and an experienced front of house server/chef
The hotel has been in the same family for twenty five years and prides itself on providing a high quality service to both locals and tourists alike. We are very much food led with an excellent reputation for dining out.
The Kings Arms is situated in the beautiful South West of Scotland surrounded by wonderful scenery with one of the Seven Stanes mountain Bike trail right on the doorstep. Dalbeattie itself has all the facilities you would expect in a small town including an excellent through school. South West Scotland is an up and coming destination which offers a more relaxed experience to the more traditional tourist areas in Scotland making this is an ideal opportunity for energetic individual or partnership with a natural work ethic to make a good life in a very appealing town
Essential in filling the role/roles is the ability to provide high quality service, so ensuring an excellent hospitality experience for our guests and the ability to ensure the smooth running of the hotel within a managerial capacity
If applying as a partnership, we are looking for an individual who can take care of the bar aspect of the business, together with a partner who has experience of working front of house or in the role of chef
The candidate(s) should demonstrate the following skills and personal attributes –
· Experience and expertise of hospitality / catering / bar.
· Relevant HSE and Food Safety qualifications and experience
. Excellent customer relations
. Cellar Management experience
. Be a strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you are well organised and punctual
. A personal licence is essential
. Flexibility as shift work and weekend work is required
. Proven track record in bar management
