Are you experienced in financial management and looking to make a meaningful impact?
We’re looking for someone with expertise in financial planning, management and reporting. Strategic vision, sound judgement and a commitment to our mission are essential.
What difference will you make?
For over 25 years, OXPIP has supported parents and babies in building close, loving relationships during the crucial first two years of life. Alongside our therapeutic services, we deliver professional training across the UK and beyond, and influence policy to strengthen infant mental health.
It is devastating to experience an unexpected difficulty bonding with your new baby. Without rapid, effective support, an early bonding problem can develop into a more serious concern. Most of the parents we work with have experienced some form of past or recent emotional trauma which interferes with the bonding process. At OXPIP, we offer compassionate, expert therapy that helps over 90% of parents improve how they feel towards their new baby.
We see about 250 families in Oxfordshire every year – yet this is still only 10% of the families who need this type of help. To do this important work, we need to be financially robust and make best use of our resources. That’s where your help could be invaluable by helping us to better serve families.
What are we looking for?
We welcome Trustees with lived experiences of parent‑infant relationship difficulties – as a parent or baby – but it is not an essential requirement. We also welcome Trustees from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances, as we truly believe diversity of thinking is essential and because we want a range of voices to reflect the range of people we help.
We’re looking for someone that is a good communicator, with a compassionate and positive attitude, who can set high aspirations and support us to achieve them.
You will have at least three years’ experience in a role which requires significant financial management expertise. We welcome applicants with accountancy qualifications but this is not essential.

What will you be doing?
As Treasurer, you will work closely with our Chair and CEO to oversee the charity’s finances, ensuring robust governance and compliance. You’ll review budgets, accounts and financial statements, advise on financial strategy, and help safeguard our resources so we can continue delivering life‑changing services.
We’re looking for a Treasurer who wants to make a real difference to our charity. Someone who can help us think strategically about our finances, advise on processes, have oversight on our financial health and direct us to make good collective financial decisions.
OXPIP is a charity about relationships and we live our values at Board level as well as in the staff team. We have two ex‑service user Trustees who help us maintain our focus on our beneficiaries' needs.
This is an exciting phase of OXPIP's development, having welcomed a new CEO in 2025. We are planning a new strategy development process and the Treasurer will play a key role in developing our aspirations.
Our Board is a mix of long‑standing Trustees who know the charity inside out, and newer Trustees who bring different perspectives and ideas. Our talented Chair is in the final 12 months of an 8‑year term so we are keen to welcome a Treasurer before we begin recruiting for the new Chair later this year.
