Overview
Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) — Based in Walsall community (with time at Head Office in Sandwell). Salary £24,310 - £27,751 FTE (£14,586 - £16,650 pro rata). Full-time (37.5 hrs) or part-time (22.5 hrs). Travel required | Training & clinical supervision provided.
About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering survivors and making real change? As an IDVA, you'll provide vital frontline support to victims of domestic abuse - helping them stay safe, navigate their options, and rebuild their independence.
Responsibilities
* Work directly with high-risk clients
* Carry out risk assessments & safety plans
* Advocate for survivors at MARAC and with partner agencies
* Deliver trauma-informed, empowering support
Requirements
* Has experience supporting victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerabilities
* Understands safeguarding, risk assessment & crisis intervention
* Brings empathy, resilience, and great communication skills
* Holds (or is working toward) an IDVA qualification
* Has a full driving licence & access to a car
* Is female (Occupational Requirement under Equality Act 2010)
