We are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our team for an initial contract of 3 months with potential to extend.
As a key player in our manufacturing and production process, you will ensure that our transport operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a permanent position with an annual salary of £45,000. 🚚
What You'll Do:
Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel to maintain high-performance standards.
Develop and implement effective transport strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to coordinate logistics.
Monitor and analyse transport performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in transport management, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in transport management software and IT systems.
A valid driving licence is required. 🚗
