Oasis Horizons Project: Every student will have a dedicated iPad for classroom use. We want our new English teacher to play a key role in developing the use of online and interactive technology to enhance learning.
Job Summary
We are seeking an inspirational and outstanding Teacher of English to join our experienced English department. The successful candidate will be required to teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard and make a positive difference to Academy life. A willingness to support the Academy ethos and participate in extra‑curricular activities is essential. Applications from newly qualified teachers are welcome, alongside applications for teachers with more experience.
Key Responsibilities
 * Teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard.
 * Support the Academy ethos and participate in extra‑curricular activities.
 * Collaborate with other Academies in Southampton to enhance teaching practices.
 * Use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students.
 * Share best practice with colleagues in the department.
 * Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.
