About the Role
Prometheus Safe & Secure is a leading provider of specialist secure transportation and complex care services across the UK, supporting NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and independent healthcare providers.
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team and provide professional, commercially focused people support across the organisation. This role will focus on employee relations, coaching managers, strengthening HR policy and ensuring HR practices remain compliant with employment law and best practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders, helping to manage complex HR matters while also contributing to wider HR initiatives that support organisational growth and workforce capability.
Job Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will provide advisory support across the organisation, managing employee relations cases, supporting organisational change and ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing employee relations cases across the business, including complex and high risk matters, ensuring compliance with company policy and employment legislation.
• Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers at all levels on employment related matters.
• Coaching and supporting line managers to handle people management issues effectively while understanding associated risks.
• Responding to HR queries relating to employment terms and conditions, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and compliant manner.
• Coordinating HR case administration including correspondence, documentation, reports and maintaining accurate case records
• Reviewing case documentation to ensure compliance with employment law and reduce organisational risk.
• Identifying and escalating areas of non compliance or risk to senior stakeholders.
• Analysing HR management information and presenting insights to support organisational decision making and HR initiatives.
• Designing and delivering HR related training to develop leadership capability across the organisation.
• Supporting consultations, organisational change programmes and restructuring activity.
• Assisting with ACAS early conciliation processes and employment tribunal preparation where required.
• Reviewing and updating HR policies and associated documentation to ensure legal compliance and organisational alignment.
• Supporting Equality Impact Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments where required.
• Building effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure HR services support operational delivery and business objectives.
• Providing ad hoc project support across HR initiatives and organisational improvement activity.
Essential Skills
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent
• Minimum three years experience within Human Resources
• Experience in a HR Generalist or Employee Relations advisory role
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience advising and coaching managers on people management matters
• Proven experience managing HR casework and employee relations issues
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present HR data
• Experience developing HR policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and complex matters with discretion
Desirable
• Degree or CIPD Level 7 qualification
• Experience working in a large multi site organisation
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
