Role: Test Engineer – Defence / Production Systems
Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid possible)
Salary: Circa £55,000 + bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to lead the implementation of structured test strategies for current and future defence products. As a Test Engineer, you will define test requirements, deploy diagnostic strategies, and verify test coverage to ensure products meet customer needs.
This is a hands on, multidisciplinary role, giving you exposure to development, production, and manufacturing processes, while collaborating with design and manufacturing teams across the company.
Key Responsibilities

Implement the Test Philosophy for production programmes as a Test Engineer

Define test equipment requirements and production diagnostics

Verify test coverage for products to meet functional and quality standards
*
Collaborate with manufacturing and production design teams on test activities
*
Support continuous improvement of testing methods and processes
*
Document and communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders
Experience & Skills Required
*
Degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering
*
Experience with development and production test techniques
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to communicate technical information clearly
*
Experience working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
