Here within the Anglian Water @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are at the forefront of delivering exceptional water and water recycling projects. As we gear up to complete AMP7 and prepare for the monumental task of AMP8, we are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our dynamic Project Delivery Team. With an approximate £1.8bn programme of work on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the water industry.
To ensure we deliver on time, in budget, it is vital we constantly oversee our performance and ways of working to ensure we are delivering the best service to our customers. This is where our growing and diverse Project Delivery Team, help monitor, sustain and improve the performance of the @one Alliance. The analysis and insight of our corporate data provides good quality information to enable decision making, driving compliance and efficiency.
To carry out this continuous improvement and maintenance function we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Project Delivery Manager to join our team!.
What will you be doing as our new Project Delivery Manager?
As our new Project Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of multiple water and water recycling infrastructure projects. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring projects are completed on time, to quality and safety standards, and in compliance with relevant legislation and Alliance governance.
Key responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and champion a 'Zero-Harm' culture across all projects.
2. Foster a high-performing team culture that empowers team members to think creatively and resolve issues effectively.
3. Translate programme-level strategy into actionable outcomes and ensure team members understand their roles in achieving success.
4. Take accountability for the full project lifecycle, from scoping to handover, and manage any post-handover warranty issues.
5. Collaborate closely with Commercial and Planning teams to maintain accurate cost and resource forecasts and mitigate issues.
6. Oversee the development of safe, commercially viable solutions that meet project requirements.
7. Ensure each project meets deliverables and key milestones, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….
Possessing recent experience in the Water industry, you’ll have excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, and CDM regulations to compliment your H&S qualification. Accustomed to dealing with multiple projects and holding an APMP qualification, you’ll be comfortable professionally challenging a host of stakeholders by using your strong communication and relationship building skills.
Your experience of working within a commercial framework and your knowledge of NEC Option C contracts will allow you to make decisions quickly for the best of the business. With a track record of successfully managing teams in a performance driven environment, you’ll have the ability step away from the detail and work strategically as and when required by giving your team the trust, empowerment, and support by delegating tasks.
