Long-term placementsThese roles are ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, experienced cover supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the classroom teacher
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons
Support pupils with their learning where required
Follow school policies and procedures
Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Experience working with secondary-aged students or young people
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Confidence leading a classroom independently
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
A passion for education and supporting student development
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
