We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer – Utilities to play a key role in the delivery of the Mulgoa Road Corridor Upgrade. You’ll lead the coordination and delivery of critical utility works, including design, relocation, and installation of water, sewer, stormwater, gas, power and telecommunications infrastructure. This role suits an engineer confident in navigating service authority approvals and the technical complexities of live relocations in brownfield environments. Mulgoa Rd Upgrade Mulgoa Road Alliance will deliver improvements to road safety and the M4 exit ramps, as part of the Mulgoa Road stage 1 upgrade between Jeanette Street to Blaikie Road in Penrith, Sydney. The main access route from Penrith to the M4 Motorway in Sydney’s west – will undergo a major enhancement as part of a 6.5-kilometre road corridor upgrade to connect the Penrith community, including its central business district, with other parts of greater Sydney. How you’ll make an impact Lead utilities construction delivery including water, sewer, gas, power, and telecoms Liaise with service authorities to manage design approvals and relocations Manage subcontractors, field crews and utility interfaces onsite Oversee productivity tracking, reporting and program alignment Assist in preparing site forecasts, cost control, variations and claims Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring compliance and quality standards Ensure all work aligns with HSEQ and environmental standards What you bring to the table Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Strong utilities delivery experience on civil infrastructure projects (Essential) Knowledge of authority approval processes and service coordination Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce SWMS and ITPs Experience working on State Authority or D&C projects Intermediate to advanced skills in systems like Envision, Viewpoint, and MS Suite Current driver's licence What’s in it for you Health & Wellbeing: discounted health insurance, EAP, wellness perks Time for Life: birthday leave, paid parental leave, purchased leave options Financial Wellbeing: Annually reviewed salary, bonuses, employee share program Career Growth: training, leadership pathways, competency frameworks Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
