Are you passionate about empowering others and making a meaningful difference in the workplace? Do you thrive on sharing your expertise and supporting colleagues to reach their full potential? Mitie Care & Custody is inviting enthusiastic and dynamic professionals to join our team as Use of Force Instructors! About the Role As a Use of Force Instructor, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring our new and existing colleagues are confident, competent, and ready to act with professionalism. Your primary mission is to deliver engaging Use of Force training to incoming staff and provide refresher courses to our experienced team members according to the guideline of the Use of Force Manual. Bring your fully qualified UOF (C&R) skills and your commitment to excellence as you work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. This hands-on role requires physical fitness, resilience, flexibility, and the drive to inspire others through active participation in training sessions. Where You'll Work This is a UK-wide position, with a primary focus on the Oxfordshire region. We're looking for someone who is flexible and eager to travel-you'll explore new environments and meet dedicated colleagues across the country. Overnight stays will be required, keeping each week fresh and exciting. Your Impact You will be a core member of our Training Team, embodying Mitie's values and professional standards. By challenging behaviours that don't align with our principles, you'll help foster a positive and inclusive workplace. Collaborating with the National Tactical Response Group (NTRG), you'll deliver dynamic training packages using a variety of techniques tailored to diverse learning styles and neurodiverse needs. Your expertise will ensure every colleague-new or seasoned-feels prepared, supported, and empowered. Working under the guidance of the Training Manager (UOF) and supporting the Regional Training Manager, you'll actively promote a culture of continuous development throughout Care & Custody. About You At least 1 year's experience thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team. Relevant, industry-recognised accreditations and qualifications (such as an Education & Training Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable. Previous experience in coaching or teaching is a plus. Desirable, but not essential: Prior experience as an instructor for Use of Force, First Aid, or Health & Safety. Willingness to travel across the UK and stay overnight as required. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a people-facing role, to support effective delivery of communication and de-escalation elements within Use of Force training. Why Mitie Care & Custody? Join a team that values your skills, supports your growth, and recognises your commitment to excellence. This is your opportunity to shape the future of safety training, challenge yourself, and inspire others every day. Ready to take your training career to the next level?
