About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team, specialising in parenting assessments. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families by delivering high-quality assessments that inform care planning and safeguard vulnerable children.
Responsibilities
As a Parenting Assessment Social Worker, you will:
Undertake comprehensive parenting assessments, including pre-birth plans, to evaluate parental capacity and identify support needs.
Work closely with families, professionals, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Prepare analytical, evidence-based reports for court proceedings and child protection conferences.
Contribute to safeguarding plans and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
Key Requirements
Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in statutory social work.
Proven experience in parenting assessments and core parent assessment training
Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload effectively.
