Our client, a leading Property solutions group with multiple offices across the UK, is seeking a Building Surveyor to join on a remote basis, covering a portfolio in London & South East.
The Building Surveyor will be responsible for the efficient management of Building and Fire Safety projects across the group's residential portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced residential building surveyor with a focus on fire safety in residential environments and a passion for diligent service delivery. The role involves extensive interaction with in-house and outsourced professional teams to ensure long-term asset compliance.
Building Safety Surveyor Position Overview
* Oversee all fire safety and building remediation projects within London & South East.
* Provide professional and technical advice to the Asset Management Team and the Client.
* Develop remediation proposals, advising on H&S, fire safety, building regulations, and resident impacts.
* Coordinate with the legal team regarding options for remediation, including Building Guarantee and collateral warranties.
* Liaise with managing agents to commission External Cladding Surveys.
* Implement mitigation measures based on survey reports.
* Interpret fire survey reports and recommend necessary next steps.
* Monitor and report on mitigation measures.
Building Safety Surveyor Position Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in Surveying or a similar discipline within the built environment.
* Deep understanding of H&S regulations applicable to surveying and project delivery.
* Working knowledge of fire regulations in residential buildings, including External Cladding.
* Knowledge of building regulations, planning applications, and property legislation.
* Full Member of RICS.
* Qualification in Fire Safety and Risk Management (e.g., NEBOSH, Fire Protection Association) is preferred.
* Availability to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Bonus potential up to 10% of annual salary based on performance.
