Job description
If you are an experienced Energy Manager who has a track record of managing, reporting and improving the energy performance of a large estate this role could be the perfect fit for you. The Energy and Carbon Manager will be responsible for:
1. Technically responsible for Energy Management across the Council’s estate, sharing knowledge to support measures that will reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions
2. Day-to-day energy management of all utilities with a focus on cost, consumption and carbon emissions
3. Implementing energy management techniques to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
4. Developing and delivering complex and high-profile carbon reduction projects to support the delivery of the Council’s corporate Net Zero target
5. Providing specialist expertise on all aspects of energy and water management including with a focus on technical solutions.
6. Undertaking energy surveys, inspections and the development and delivery of actions plans, plant surveys, preparation of design and specifications for tender documents relating to energy relating works
7. Supporting the Utilities Coordinator to improve data granularity and quality
8. Working collaboratively across the Council, with key stakeholders and partners across Oxford.
