Key Duties
Deliver high-quality first-opinion veterinary care Conduct consultations and routine surgical procedures Manage a varied small animal caseload Work closely with an experienced nursing and support team Build strong client relationships and maintain excellent patient care standards Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical protocols and team collaboration
Working Pattern
Flexible working structure tailored to individual preferences Participation in a 1 in 5 Saturday rota (9:00am - 3:00pm) preferred 20-30 minute consultation times as standard Dedicated admin time built into the diary to support efficient case management and timely finishes
This structure provides excellent work-life balance while maintaining exposure to an interesting and varied caseload.
Practice Facilities
Modern, well-equipped small animal practice Team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 RVNs, VCAs, and dedicated reception staff Experienced nursing team including advanced diploma-qualified nurses and certificate holders in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, and feline nursing Nurse-led consultations and strong support systems throughout the practice Focus on evidence-based medicine and high clinical standards
Key Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in the UK RCVS registration (or eligibility) Previous experience in small animal practice preferred Confident communicator with a team-focused attitude Passion for delivering high standards of patient and client care Interest in clinical development and collaborative working
