Job Description
As a Management Accountant, you will be producing the management accounts and commentary for key areas of the business. Key Responsibilities include:
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare the financial reporting of central overhead cost centres, both profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
4. Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets.
6. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
7. Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as managing the central mailbox and responding to
8. Overseeing the Accounts Assistant and the day to day transactional accounting duties.
The Successful Applicant
The Management Accountant will have:
9. Significant previous experience of management / financial accounting
10. Strong Excel skills with the ability to create and develop spreadsheets
11. Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements
12. Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, procedures and current legislation
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to review and spot errors / queries
14. Continuous improvement mentality - with the ability to identify and implement at pace process improvements (improving control / efficiency / insight)
15. Adaptable and flexible in approach to work
16. Team player with the desire to work with and challenge appropriately finance and operational colleagues
17. Analytical skills with the ability to make judgements from data and then work with the business through to conclusion
18. Proficiency in Word and Powerpoint
19. Enthusiasm to develop their knowledge and responsibility.
