Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of the organisation by assisting with various accounting and administrative tasks. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and you will work independently and have responsibility looking arfter your area. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software.
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
* Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial matters.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.
* Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements
* A qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
* Proficiency in accounting software Sage, Xero and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
