Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Rye Hill, a Category B prison located in Rugby. The role includes supervising the clinical service, responding to emergency codes, and assessing patients for internal and external treatment.
Hours
Monday – Sunday, 7am – 8pm days, occasional nights (8pm – 7am), 37.5 hours per week with one weekend in four.
Salary
Full‑time position with an annual salary between £43,609 and £49,175 (FTE), depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities
* Provide evidence‑based emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary and acute care needs.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships, and promote professional boundaries.
* Actively participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care following policies, procedures and safeguarding considerations.
Eligibility & Requirements
* Qualified Paramedic registered with HCPC.
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Non‑judgemental, compassionate approach.
* Experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care, or Minor injuries/illness environments.
* Legal right to work in the UK; additional vetting and security checks required.
Additional Qualifications
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (desirable).
* Any additional relevant qualifications or experience.
