Responsibilities
* Deliver a high-quality HR and payroll service across the employee lifecycle—from onboarding new starters, processing changes such as promotions, maternity/adoption leave, and adjustments to working hours, through to retirement.
* Handle payroll tasks and provide HR advice on pay-related matters.
* Support the Pay Team with on-the-job training and development.
* Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls with excellent customer service and communication.
* Work to tight monthly deadlines, independently and as part of a team; maintain strong attention to detail and ability to organise and prioritise workloads.
Qualifications and requirements

* Previous experience in payroll and pensions is desirable but not essential.
* Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
* Remote working one day per week after becoming fully competent.
Salary and progression
The starting salary is typically at the bottom of the pay scale; exceptional candidates with relevant experience or knowledge may be considered for a higher starting point within the advertised salary range.
