Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Roofing Site Supervisor with proven experience in both pitched and flat roofing systems to lead refurbishment projects within the social housing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise roofing teams and ensure work is completed to client and BS 5534, BS 5250, and BS 8612. specification and safety standards * Coordinate daily site activities and manage project timelines * Liaise professionally with clients, residents, and the public * Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks * Ensure compliance with building regulations and company policies * Maintain accurate site documentation including risk assessments and method statements * Report progress and issues to senior management * Carry out health and safety breifings and toolbox talks * Check the quality of works during installation and completion * Carry out pre-handover quality inspections before offering handover * Resolve site issues promptly and escalate concerns when necessary * Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to technical specifications and industry standards * Support project managers with scheduling, resource planning, and reporting * Manage both pitched roofing systems (e.g. tile, slate) and flat roofing systems (e.g. felt, GRP, EPDM, liquid coatings) * Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and subcontractor activities Essential Requirements: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in site supervision within roofing or construction * Strong knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems * Valid CSCS Black Card * SMSTS * Health & Safety and First Aid certifications * Proven experience in social housing refurbishment projects * Professional communication and leadership skills * Full UK driving licence Desirable: * Strong IT skills * good general construction knowledge * Experience with the BS 5534, BS 5250, and BS 8612. specification and safety standards What We Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Company vehicle * Opportunities for career progression into Contracts or Project Management * Supportive team environment with ongoing training and development * The chance to make a meaningful impact in improving housing standards for communities
