An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to provide senior leadership to primary care nurses in Angus working in Primary Care. You will work closely with the Primary Care Manager to contribute to the strategic priorities of the Angus HSCP in relation to primary care and the unique contribution of nurses, working with Senior Nurse colleagues to deliver on areas of joint responsibility. You will provide senior leadership to the primary care nursing workforce to deliver professional and operational priorities and manage the Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) / trainee ANPs and primary care nurses ensuring the safe, effective and person-centred care of patients across Tayside.
You will be an experienced nurse with personal drive, clinical knowledge and commitment to undertake this challenging and rewarding role. You will possess highly developed management and communication skills and have experience of working effectively across professional boundaries. You will be required to work autonomously and demonstrate proven leadership and management skills.
Essential: UK Registered General Nurse, with evidence of relevant postgraduate education. A sound knowledge and understanding of the NHS environment, particularly the primary care arena, including current policy directives relating to health and social care and out of hours.
Registration: Must be on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
