Description
We’re building a small, high-impact People & Culture team at the heart of our business. This isn’t a traditional HR role. We move fast, anticipate challenges and co-create solutions that shape the way our business operates.
About The Role
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, energetic and proactive - someone who enjoys shaping solutions rather than simply maintaining process.
About You
You will likely recognise yourself in the following:
* You ask thoughtful questions and anticipate issues before they arise.
* You are curious about the business and move ideas into action quickly.
* You balance strategic thinking with practical delivery and are happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.
* You focus on outcomes and impact rather than relying solely on HR process.
* You enjoy helping, teaching and positively influencing others.
* You navigate complexity with confidence and simplify problems rather than adding layers.
* You don’t get caught up in hierarchy - if something needs doing to help the team succeed, you step in.
* You are adaptable, collaborative and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
* Most of all, you enjoy shaping things and being part of building something better.
What You’ll Do
* Partner with Heads of Department and their teams to anticipate and solve organisational challenges.
* Provide practical HR advice and guidance on employment matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of best practice and employment terms and conditions.
* Lead and manage employee relations casework, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances and absence management.
* Drive engagement, performance and culture initiatives that have real impact across the business.
* Lead and support key people processes such as salary review, reward discussions and organisational planning.
* Review and develop HR policies, practices and procedures, ensuring they reflect current employment law and industry best practice.
* Support operational excellence across payroll, systems and core people processes, working closely with the P&C Coordinator.
* Contribute to a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience for employees.
* Collaborate with the wider P&C team to influence strategy and help build a high-performing, inclusive culture where people feel valued and supported.
About You
You will need to have:
* Solid experience in a generalist HR or People & Culture role (CIPD Level 5 or equivalent preferred)
* Strong knowledge of HR best practice and UK employment legislation
* Experience managing employee relations cases and advising managers with confidence
* Experience supporting reward processes such as salary review or pay discussions
* The confidence to build strong relationships and influence across the organisation
You don't need to meet every point listed above to be a great fit for the role. Instead, focus on showcasing your strongest skills, experience and personal qualities - we're interested in what makes you a great fit for the role and how you can contribute your unique strengths to our team.
