Responsibilities
* Participate as a member of the hospice care team, implementing new and existing therapy programmes, monitoring and adapting them in liaison with young people, their families, and home-based therapists.
* Collaborate with other services to provide care and support for the family.
* Support the education, training and development of other care team members, encouraging a reflective and evidence‑based approach to therapy service delivery through audit, policy & procedure and service development.
* Provide flexible care, including travel to local communities and both hospices, and work flexible hours, including weekends and out‑of‑hours as required.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life‑limiting conditions and children’s palliative care.
* Ability to prioritise day‑to‑day clinical care effectively using evidence‑based practice.
* Confident swimmer and able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’; disability‑confident.
Organisational Details
Full‑time Band B Physiotherapist based in Ty Gobaith, Conwy. Permanent appointment, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with expectations to work flexibly on weekends and out‑of‑hours to meet the needs of children and families.
