Specialist Nurse - Endometriosis | Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Edinburgh | Part time | Permanent
Spire Murrayfield Hospital is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to provide exemplary planned care for patients on a part time basis working 10 hours per week.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Endometriosis will provide expert care, support, and education to individuals affected by endometriosis. Serving as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the CNS will lead in developing and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and promote awareness of endometriosis within the healthcare community.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning and evaluation of care for patients with suspected or confirmed endometriosis
2. Manage clinics, providing individualized care plans and interventions
3. Utilise advanced clinical skills to perform necessary diagnostic procedures and monitor results
4. Offer advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the care pathway
5. Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families, addressing the psychological, physical and sexual impacts of endometriosis
6. Develop and deliver educational materials and programs to enhance patient understanding and self-management
7. Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security
8. Support and enable equality, diversity and rights
9. Maintain and support the use of efficient use of physical and financial resources
10. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI
