Graduate Consultant – Rail Team
We are looking for recent graduates with a flexible approach and a strong appetite to learn in a leading engineering and professional advisory services consultancy. The role will provide the first step into a consultancy career in an exciting and rapidly changing sector. From day one you will be part of a team supporting senior consultants in delivering projects to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your time across several projects, contributing at all phases – from preparing proposals to win new contracts, through delivering the project and liaising with clients.
* Ensure the quality and delivery of your work, and collaborate with other consultants to incorporate your contribution into wider project outputs.
* Participate in client management techniques and soft‑skills development, including presentations, project management, and people management.
Graduate Development Programme
Our two‑year Graduate Development Programme supports personal and professional development through blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and on‑the‑job experience.
Qualifications and Experience
* Graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Rail Systems or Systems Engineering.
* Complete the application form and online skill enabler assessment.
* Availability to start work in September 2026.
* Interest in the rail sector, and a desire to work on a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
* Ambition to become a technical consultant and future leader; confidence to make a real difference to people’s lives and the environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills combined with client focus and a hands‑on approach.
* Drive for continuous self‑development, excellent organisation/planning skills, and the ability to work in a consultancy environment.
Locations
Graduate candidates may be based in London, Derby, Bristol, or York.
