About the role As the General Manager, you will use your experience to lead your team to land the commercial plan in one of our biggest businesses whilst delivering a great customer and patient experience. Our stores have a broad customer offering across retail and pharmacy. With your expert leadership and passion, you will help the business to grow and change for the better. With a leadership team in your store to support you, you will be responsible for delivering a strong trading performance underpinned by an exceptional operational platform. You will connect with your community and the wider business to develop and deliver a focused store specific strategy optimising patient care and profitability. You will report to the Director of Stores and work collaboratively with the regional team, Support Office and your Store Leaders to turn your vision into action. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach and develop your teams to deliver commercial results and brilliant customer care. Use management information and insight to drive sales, control costs and improve profitability across all stores in your area. Ensure each store is operating to company standards, delivering exceptional pharmacy and retail standards that meet customer and patient needs. Monitor store performance through regular reviews, using KPIs, audits and compliance checks to identify areas for improvement. Lead recruitment, onboarding and talent development to build a strong pipeline of future leaders. Champion Boots values and embed a culture of learning, inclusion and collaboration across the area. Drive key initiatives including loss prevention, change management, and promotional planning. What you'll need to have Previous experience within a retail environment preferably within Pharmacy, Health or Beauty managing multiple sites. A strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse performance data and respond with clear action plans. Experience of coaching, developing and leading high-performing teams. A proactive, customer-led approach with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences. Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels. The ability to work at pace, prioritise effectively, and adapt in a changing environment.
