Engineer Surveyor – Pressure Systems – Wakefield
Join Allianz UK as an Engineer Surveyor specialising in Pressure, Compressed Air & Steam equipment. You will conduct inspections, assess installations and help clients meet relevant legislation.
Role Overview
* Carry out hands‑on inspections at factories, warehouses and other commercial premises.
* Work closely with your Senior Operations Team Leader and the Engineer Surveyor Team.
* Prepare electronic reports of examinations for fast and efficient delivery to clients.
* Assess a wide range of installations, anticipate problems and support compliance with relevant legislation.
* Form an integral part of our business, examining pressure vessels, boilers and other mechanical equipment.
Salary Information
Starting Salary £44,213 per year (pay based on experience, skills and location). Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules for the Pressure Mechanical discipline.
* Decisive, responsible and effective at planning and diarying meetings and work allocation.
* Local travel within your allocated area and processing of documentation and general administration.
* Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors.
Essential Skills
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering) or actively working towards it.
* Background working with steam generation, compressed air and associated plant – ideally in manufacturing, QA, production, maintenance, operation, repair and site inspection.
* Strong customer interaction skills – good oral and written communication.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Time‑management skills – organise your week’s work independently.
* Comfortable using tablets and smartphones for daily tasks.
