Job Title: Social Media Manager (Organic & Paid)
Location: SE1, London (Southwark)
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Department: Brand & Marketing
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Up £50,000 per annum

Role Overview
Black Sheep Coffee is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Social Media Manager to lead our social strategy globally across organic, paid and influencer channels & to produce our UK content. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this role will own the end-to-end social ecosystem, shaping how the Black Sheep Coffee brand shows up culturally, creatively and commercially across global markets.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will define and deliver a distinctive, high-performing social strategy while acting as a guardian of the brand's tone of voice, visual identity and attitude. With social playing an increasingly important role in driving brand growth, awareness and performance, this role is central to how Black Sheep connects with customers worldwide.

A key pillar of the role is paid media leadership. While agency partners may be used across certain channels, it is essential that you bring first-hand, practical experience across platforms such as Meta, TikTok and Google. You must understand campaign setup, optimisation and performance deeply enough to confidently lead strategy, direct agencies, challenge outputs and, where required, execute activity yourself.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Strategy, Leadership & Brand Consistency

• Act as guardian of the brand's social tone of voice, personality and visual identity.

• Own the UK organic and paid social media strategy aligned to brand and business
objectives.

• Define platform-specific strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and
emerging platforms.

• Ensure consistency across owned channels, influencer content and paid executions.

• Support or lead crisis management on social platforms when required.

2. Paid Media Strategy, Execution & Agency Management

• Own paid social and paid media strategy across Meta, TikTok, Google and other relevant platforms.

• Demonstrate strong hands-on understanding of paid media setup, including account
structures, audiences, creatives, budgets and optimisation.

• Lead paid strategy development to amplify organic content and campaigns.

• Manage and direct external agencies, particularly across paid social and Google.

• Confidently review, challenge and optimise agency outputs.

• Maintain oversight of budgets, performance and ROI.

• Execute or support campaign setup, testing and optimisation when required.

3. Content Planning, Creation & Publishing
· Create and maintain a distinct, recognisable social style across all platforms.
· Own the social content calendar aligned to campaigns, launches and key moments.
· Produce and publish high-quality video, photography and copy.
· Capture and edit content using iPhone and DSLR (where applicable).
· Support content capture at events, activations and new store openings.

4. Influencer, Ambassador & Community Management

• Reach out & manage end-to-end comms with influencers surrounding NSO's and campaigns.

• Manage and grow the brand ambassador programme.

• Track influencer performance and ROI (where applicable).

• Own community management across platforms.5. Reporting, Insights & Optimisation

• Set, track and report on KPIs across organic, paid and influencer activity.

• Analyse performance & measure ROI data to deliver post campaign reports & actionable insights.

• Identify trends and opportunities through data and cultural insight.

• Experience with scheduling/reporting platforms such as Sprout are desirable.

6. Innovation & Trends

• Stay ahead of platform updates, formats and cultural trends.

• Test new ideas, features and channels.

• Recommend innovations to improve performance.

About You

• 3–5+ years' experience in a social media role.

• Proven hands-on experience across paid media platforms including Meta, TikTok and
Google.

• Experience managing agencies and external partners.

• Strong content creation skills.

• Confident using analytics and reporting tools such as Sprout or similar.

• Experience in FMCG or hospitality is desirable.
