What is the job?
Primarily this role will involve working in the Kitchen helping to ensure that it runs smoothly. You will be part of the Kitchen team that will ensure that we provide the best quality food to our guests You may assist in other departments to ensure an excellent service to our guests and ensure we are meeting the high standards.

About The Role
Your day to day
* Managing the general day to day running of their section
* Manage and maintain HACCP.
* Manage the general cost and quality control for both incoming and outgoing goods
* Ensure that temperature readings are taken on a daily basis and taken accurately
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment, fixtures and fittings are in good working order and to ensure that no item of equipment is misused.
* Ensure that stock rotation is carried out correctly and documented on a daily basis and taken accurately.
* Ensure the proper training on all kitchen equipment and catering procedures
* Ensure that stock levels are accurate at the end of every month
* Ensure all cleaning schedules are adhered to and hygiene checked daily.
* Ensure that all food served from their section is the required standard highlighted in the menu specification.
* Assisting with the ordering on a daily basis,
* Training of Chefs on section, delegation of tasks to Commis Chefs and Chef De Partie.
* Assist other Chef de Parties and help each other keep motivated and focused
* Wear clean, suitable uniform.
* Upkeep of the equal opportunities policy to ensure that there is a neutral working environment.
* Participate in any training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance.
* Keep staff/work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management and observe all requirements under Health & Safety at Work act (1989).
What we need from you
Essential
· Experience within a Chef de Partie role
· NVQ qualification up to and including level 2 in Food Preparation
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring flexible working and a genuine willingness to help guests and colleagues within the hotel
· Hygiene Certificate
· Understanding of COSHH
· Excellent communication and listening skills
Desirable
* Experience within the hospitality industry
* Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
* NVQ Level 3 Food Preparation and Cooking
