Overview
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Locum Solicitor to join a respected regional firm in Somerset. This is a senior-level locum position, covering the role of a departing team member from mid-September, with the assignment continuing on an ongoing basis while permanent recruitment is underway.
Start and Contract
Start Date: Week commencing 2nd September 2025
Contract: Locum – Ongoing until permanent hire is made
Location: At least 1 day per week in Somerset
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of private client work, including:
* Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)
* Handling Court of Protection and Attorneyship matters
* Managing Estate administration and probate files
Requirements
* A qualified solicitor with significant Private Client experience (ideally 5+ PQE)
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running
* Experience using Leap (CRM) is highly desirable
* Comfortable working with secretarial support
* Available to start early September
