A school in Millom is seeking a warming Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. It will be working with Key Stage 3 & 4 in small groups and 1-1 interventions, The role is start after half term.
You will play an essential role supporting the teacher through out the day. This rewarding role where you'll build relationships, help create engaging learning experiences and support students.
The Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will:
* Working in small groups and 1-1 interventions
* Help children feel safe, secure, and valued in the classroom
* Knowledge or experience with SEN environments
* Encourage engagement through calm, consistent routines
* Support children in building self-confidence and positive peer relationships
* Be a key part of creating a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish
* Bring a steady, grounded presence that pupils can rely on
* Contribute to a collaborative and caring school community as an Teaching Assistant

This Teaching Assistant role is suited to someone who:
* Is patient, kind, and emotionally aware
* Has experience supporting children or young people in education, care, youth work, or social services
* Can use empathy and active listening to build trust and connection
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* Teaching Assistant Qualification Level 3 (QTS)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced classroom environment

If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
