Senior Civil/Underground Engineer required for short term contract assignment, working on behalf of our client, a global design and engineering contractor based in Surrey. A minimum of 8 years experience in civil engineering, specialising in underground services design is essential.
Job Description:
As a Senior Underground Engineer, you will support the overall lead in preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:
1. Design basis and specifications for underground services design and materials
2. Paving, access roads, haul roads and service roads
3. Drainage including culverts / storm water management of the plant site, storm water drainage pond, process ponds including liner and leakage detection
4. Drainage design calculations for all types of gravity drainage system storm water, hydrocarbon contaminated system, sanitary waste system
5. Chemical waste drainage retention and disposal system
6. Erosion control and protection
7. Underground pipelines and utilities
8. Coordinate and produce composite underground services drawing showing all underground services like drainage, firewater, potable water, cable trenches etc
9. Processing topographic data (from LiDAR, satellite, ground surveys, etc.) for use on the projects.
