Job Description:
This role involves developing and delivering benefits, monitoring, and evaluation activities for STEP. You will support the development of a robust evidence base to demonstrate the value and impact of STEP, supporting decision-making and policy development. Responsibilities include designing research projects, managing data collection and analysis, producing reports, and building relationships with stakeholders across government and internal teams. The role requires a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. Onsite work is expected three days a week, with flexible working options supported.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide the Evidence-Base for Policy and Decision Making: Design and manage research projects, analyze data, and build internal data collection capabilities. Provide training and mentoring to team members.
2. Deliver Impactful Products: Produce reports, briefings, and contribute to business cases, ensuring evidence is communicated clearly and effectively.
3. Build a Strong Network: Foster relationships within STEP, UKAEA, and government bodies to facilitate collaboration and effective communication.
4. Embody a Leadership Mindset: Demonstrate leadership qualities, promote an inclusive environment, and act as a cultural ambassador.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Experience with programme benefits and/or monitoring and evaluation.
* Experience managing and analyzing quantitative and/or qualitative data.
* Ability to understand complex issues and communicate effectively to non-technical audiences.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in stakeholder engagement.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and quick decision-making skills.
Desirable:
* Experience with large-scale evaluations and complex environments.
* Experience working with government stakeholders on transformative programmes.
* Experience in multidisciplinary environments and with emerging technologies.
* Leadership skills to train and develop team members.
