The Opportunity
LG is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heating/Heat pump Engineer, due to continued growth within the Company. We are a leader in heat pump technology with a global reputation for quality products therefore, we require a motivated, forward-thinking individual to join our heating sales team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Air Solutions Department as Sales Engineer - Heating Sales Team. Our Heating Sales Team is responsible for helping to develop and grow the UK heating business in line with LG’s strategies and objectives.
As Sales Engineer - Heating Sales Team. In this role you will work within the heating sales team, providing assistance to Homeowners, installers and merchants alike. Working with our technical team, you will be providing product training, technical assistance to customers on our range of Air to Water Heat Pumps throughout England.
You will responsible for heat pump installer development and align with Heating National Sales Manager and technical team, and be responsible for sales and technical related activities for installer development. You will also drive sales of the air to water heat pump products, including AWHP. You will supporting existing wholesaler sales channels and home builders.
Your Role & Responsibilities
* Identify and create new sales opportunities with both existing and new customers, with a view of achieving agreed set volume targets
* To maintain and service sales agreements with targeted customers and to achieve set and agreed KPIs
* Prepare project design, specification and quotations using LG equipment in support of the sales team
* Execute sales strategy as discussed and agreed with the Heating National Sales Manager
* Provide effective and detailed reporting of all sales and business development activities
* To promote the LG brand through regular and set presentations to customers (wholesalers, homebuilders) as required
* Deliver technical Seminar presentations to identified heat pump installers
* To liaise with other departments for cross business opportunities, to resolve payment disputes, to assist in new product introduction and end of life management to optimise levels of inventory
Skills, Education & Experience
* You will have at least 3 years’ experience as a heat pump engineer with a good knowledge of heat pump products and understanding of plumbing and heating industry.
* Solid experience in the Heating Heat Pump market, preferably gained from a reputable heat pump or boiler manufacturer. Engineering or a heat pump qualification would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
* BPEC qualified (Preferred), CSCS (Preferred), NVQ in plumbing (Preferred)
* Proven performance and customer management skills
* Good understanding of all relevant legislations and government grants related to heating and plumbing.
* Has great technical and product awareness, including product development and business planning
* Knowledge of heating route to plumbing and heating industry, and specialist in renewable distribution
* Good networking skills and abilities
* Experience of working within a performance management environment – KPIs and Service Level Agreements
* Highly focused and capable of sustaining a fast pace in a dynamic environment
* Able to constructively challenge and improve existing practice
* Good judgement, able to make practical and realistic decisions within scope of responsibility
* Proven commercial acumen and ability to achieve commercial objectives
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
* Full UK Driving License
