Compliance & Safety Manager – Power Generation
50,000 – £59,000 + 10% bonus + benefits
SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Compliance & Safety Manager to join a large Energy from Waste facility in Runcorn, Cheshire.
This role is responsible for the management and monitoring of health, safety, environmental and compliance systems across the site, working closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to ensure a no-compromise approach to safety and regulatory compliance.
Managing and monitoring site safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work (SSOW)
* Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and licences, including interpretation of emissions data
* Developing and maintaining working plans, audits and compliance programmes
* Managing risk assessments, method statements and H&S documentation
* Advising site leadership on potential safety, environmental and compliance risks
* Ensuring compliance with industry regulations including PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and PSSR
* Liaising with external bodies such as the Environment Agency and local authorities
Experience gained in a similar role from Energy from Waste, power generation or a highly regulated process environment
* A NEBOSH qualification as a minimum
* Experience working with permitted and regulated activities, preferably within a controlled emissions environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to embed a safety xkybehq and compliance focused culture
* Knowledge and experience of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)]
