Social Care Recruitment is seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to support children and young people aged 1117 with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference and who are looking to progress their career in childrens residential care including completing their Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
Shift Patterns
Day shifts: 8:00am 8:00pm
Night shifts: 8:00pm 8:00am
Minimum commitment: 3 shifts per week
Opportunities to pick up additional shifts
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive living environment
Promote independence through structured routines and life skills coaching
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
Take part in in-house and community-based activities
Work collaboratively as part of a child-focused, supportive team
Adhere to safeguarding principles and Childrens Home Regulations (Ofsted)
What Were Looking For
Full-time availability (essential)
Minimum of 3 shifts per week (essential)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
At least 6 months UK social care experience (children only)
A proactive, resilient and confident approach
A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred can be arranged)
Willingness to complete the Level 3 Residential Childcare course and all required training
Training & Progression
Excellent opportunity for candidates looking to complete their Level 3 Residential Course
Mandatory restraint training taking place on 17th & 18th applicants must be available
Candidates who already hold current restraint training will have an advantage, as this allows for immediate shadow shifts
