What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a recent University graduate who is smart, ambitious and motivated to join RBC Custody FX Services, a global business with a primary focus on providing outsourced FX solutions.
The role of Analyst, Custody FX Services, will closely collaborate with FX Product, FX Sales, Global Coverage, Technology & Operations Network management and Liquidity Providers to continually develop and deliver world class FX services and outsourced solutions.
This entry level position is full time and will require you to work a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with the option to work one day from home.
What will you do?
1. Execute and manage FX orders in onshore Emerging Markets (EM) with local agents and other local liquidity venues.
2. Support clients with Direct EM execution requirements, acting as the Desk SME in those markets.
3. Oversight of automated FX execution flows related to Standing Instruction and Currency Overlay.
4. Close collaboration with FX Product, FX Sales, Global Coverage, Technology & Operations, Network management and Liquidity Providers to continually develop and expand the platform.
5. Further develop and expand e-trading processes globally in onshore Emerging Markets, closely aligning with key stakeholders both internally and externally to enhance execution capabilities in this space.
6. Post execution product control and execution quality assurance, including responsibility for producing KPI, best ex monitoring, client fee accuracy and data integrity.
7. Support RBC wide special projects and initiatives.
8. At all times deliver excellence in client product and service.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
9. Degree or equivalent is required.
10. Strong analytical and organisational capabilities
11. Good interpersonal and presentation skills
12. Knowledge and interest in macroeconomics, market drivers and FX markets, especially Emerging Markets.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and VBA
Nice-to-have
14. An understanding of custody / investment management / funds business including Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency.
15. FX hedging / overlay experience.
16. Experience in Power BI, Python and R
