We are seeking a Repairs Co-ordination Manager to oversee and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused Repairs service for SMBC repairs housing stock and tenants.
The role includes managing daily performance for Damp & Mould works in line with Awaab’s Law, and overseeing Housing disrepair jobs (HDRs), including liaising with internal and external legal teams.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Repairs advice, prevent service delays, and collaborate with various stakeholders such as Housing management, Capital teams, Urban Design, tenant contact Centre, the housing hub, tenants, emergency services, MPs, Councillors, senior and executive management, contractors, training providers, and suppliers.
You will ensure that Supervisors and Admin staff are properly resourced, aligned, and delivering excellent service standards with pride, passion, and a proactive attitude, aiming for the best Right First-time service.
Essential Requirements
* Experience in gathering, analysing, and presenting information to influence decision-making.
* Ability and willingness to meet strict deadlines and respond to emergencies beyond normal hours, including attending evening meetings.
* Experience in making complex decisions within a Housing repairs environment.
* Detailed knowledge of local Authority Housing performance standards and requirements.
* Ability to review performance, monitor progress, and take corrective action to meet objectives and targets.
* Minimum Level 4 in Management or HNC/HND equivalent qualification.
* Willingness to undertake relevant management training as required.
