Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner – NTT
Northumberland Talking Therapies has an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified PWP who holds accreditation with either the BABCP or BPS and is keen to develop their skills and experience within our organisation.
The post is a hybrid position based in Northumberland offices, available from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to full‑time. It offers progression from supervisor training to trainee high‑intensity CBT positions.
In This Role You Will
* Undertake triage assessments.
* Provide low‑intensity interventions through guided self‑help and computerised CBT, via telephone, video and face‑to‑face appointments.
* Facilitate step 2 psycho‑educational online groups.
* Contribute to service improvement projects and mentor trainee PWPs.
* Attend line management, case management, clinical skills supervision and CPD events.
* Work closely with other PWPs to support one another and utilise skills.
Qualifications
* Academic qualification in line with the Low Intensity National Programme (e.g., PG Cert Low Intensity Psychological Therapies).
* Qualified as a PWP (BABCP or BPS accreditation).
* Experience with mild to moderate anxiety and depression using CBT‑based self‑management interventions.

* Ability to evaluate and apply training outcomes.
* Computer literate with telephone skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Develop good therapeutic relationships.
* Strong awareness of anxiety and depression in primary care.
* Ability to work within a team and manage caseload under pressure.
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Desirable
* Experience in primary care services or community settings.
* Knowledge of medication for anxiety and depression.
* Fluency in a language other than English.
* Car driver or willingness to travel.
