Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)

Megaclose Ltd is a well-established student accommodation provider in Nottingham, managing a large portfolio of properties within half a mile of Nottingham Trent University. All of our properties are located within a half-mile radius of the campus, meaning travel between sites is quick and easy.
We operate from a dedicated maintenance office and stores at 120 North Sherwood Street, right in the city centre, ensuring our in-house team has the resources and support needed to carry out repairs efficiently.
For over 20 years we have provided high-quality housing and professional management services, and we pride ourselves on delivering an excellent standard of service to our tenants.
We are now seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated in-house team. This is a key role, responsible for keeping our properties safe, well maintained, and comfortable for our tenants. It is a hands-on, practical position that requires a broad maintenance skill set and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
Key Responsibilities
As a Property Maintenance Technician, you will:
* Carry out a wide range of day-to-day property maintenance and repairs across our portfolio of student accommodation.
* Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, covering plumbing, electrics, joinery, and general building works.
* Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with company requirements.
* Deliver high-quality workmanship and ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.
* Maintain accurate records of all works carried out, including materials used and time spent.
* Communicate effectively with tenants, providing clear updates and excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
* Work closely with the wider maintenance team to ensure smooth operations and effective prioritisation of jobs.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring real value to the team. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience in a property or building maintenance role.
* A broad skill set, with capability in plumbing, electrics, joinery, and general maintenance tasks.
* A good working knowledge of health and safety practices.
* The ability to work independently, while also being a strong team player.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, professional approach to work.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with tenants.
* A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points (essential).
