GIS Analyst - Renewable Energy, Utilities and Residential Sectors


Location - Perth or Glasgow - flexible working



Salary- £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established environmental and planning consultancy with nearly 20 years of experience delivering projects that support the UK's transition to a net-zero future. Their team is collaborative, curious, and committed to meaningful, high-quality work across renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, and residential development.


With offices in Perth and Glasgow, they offer a flexible and supportive working environment tailored to individual needs. You'll join a growing GIS team, working alongside an experienced GIS Analyst on a broad range of projects throughout the UK.

What You'll Be Doing



* Supporting project teams with spatial analysis and mapping across planning and consenting projects.

* Interpreting and visualising data from multiple sources to deliver clear, actionable outputs.

* Using QField and other open-source GIS tools to manage and process spatial data.

* Taking ownership of individual tasks while contributing to collaborative project delivery.


What We're Looking For



* A degree in GIS or a related subject (MSc a bonus but not essential).

* Solid understanding of GIS principles, with practical experience in data editing, analysis, and visualisation.

* Hands-on experience with QField or similar open-source GIS software.

* Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.

* A confident communicator who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively.


Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)



* Experience in a consultancy or client-facing setting.

* Familiarity with mobile data collection tools like QField.

* Knowledge of cloud-based or SQL data management systems.

* Experience working with environmental, planning, or ecological datasets.
