Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) offer entrants to the labour market the chance of paid employment combined with the opportunity to do training relevant to the occupational area. They include the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications as well as starting off in a new career. In this post the Modern Apprentice would provide administrative support to two areas of our work. The first of these areas focusses on the administration involved in running our Foundation Apprenticeship programme and the other is supporting the facilitation of our pupil tracking system.\n\nAs an MA Business Administration, you will be required to assist in the provision of a range of support services for professional and office activities to achieve service targets and quality customer care. Production and handling of documents;\nMaintaining efficient electronic and manual filing systems;\nProviding a service to customers;\nUsing ICT to complete tasks;\nWorking as part of a team; \nCommunication and\nProblem Solving. Applicants must also either: have left secondary education in the past three years (including those about to leave this year); or currently be on a City of Edinburgh Council employability training programme, or be aged up to 29 with a disability or care experienced.\n\nApplicants must have at least three National 4 or 5s or equivalent qualifications in a relevant business related subject area eg English, Maths, Business Studies, ICT or Communications.
