SEN Teaching Assistant Bolton
Location: Bolton (and surrounding areas)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £95 £115 per day (DOE)
About the Role
This rewarding role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with young people who have SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs. You will support students in class, provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, and work closely with teaching staff to ensure every pupil has the chance to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for SEN/SEMH students
* Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
* Support pupils emotional, social, and academic development
* Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience in SEN, youth work, care, or education (desirable)
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Committed to supporting students with additional needs
* Willing to develop through training provided by Value Education
