Overview
CareTech Community Services, established in 1993, is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also in residential care. We are committed to providing the highest levels of care and we need caring and dedicated professionals to deliver first class care.

Role details
* Location: Wolverhampton
* Hours: 36 per week
* Employment type: Permanent, Full Time
* Salary: 12.36 per hour
* Closing Date: Monday 1 September 2025
Responsibilities
Support workers provide care and support to people with complex needs to help them live as independently as possible, in their own homes or in residential settings. Responsibilities include delivering high‑quality care and enabling service users to maintain independence. Must be willing to provide personal care and be able to push wheelchairs in the community.
Skills and qualifications
* Experience in a caring environment preferred
* Able to work days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
* Good communication skills to engage and interact with service users
* Ability to stay calm under pressure
* Confidence to work alone and as part of a team
* Passionate about making a positive difference to someone else’s life
* Good written skills
Requirements
* Must be willing to provide personal care and be able to push wheelchairs in the community
* CareTech are unable to offer sponsorship at this present time
* Skilled or Student Visa applicants will not be considered for this opening
* Applicants will need to hold a minimum of 12 months Right to Work in the UK
* Successful candidates will complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement; the disclosure expense will be met by the employer

What we do
We are a well-established, nationwide healthcare provider. Our homes are specialist mental health services offering adults person‑centred care. We carefully develop and adapt homes to meet varying needs and provide a positive impact on the service experience of people with mental health difficulties through a person‑centred approach. Our Support Workers measure outcomes to each individual’s needs using a person‑centred outcomes tool.
