Kier Group are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) which is our internal MEP Self Delivery business.
This role will join a large scale scheme in Warwick from PCSA right through to completion and will be working closely with our build partners, Kier Construction.
Location: Warwick. Office based in Solihull initially
Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Ask us about other flexible options.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP), you'll be joining the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team overseeing the commercial activity for the building services.
What can you expect for your day to day?
* Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
* Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
* Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
* Drive commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
* Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.
What are we looking for?
In a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP), we're ideally looking for:
* Prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor or consultancy, ideally with a sound understanding of building services.
* Experience with a variety of contract forms.
* The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
