Job Overview
St Martins Care are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to work at a busy Residential Care Home. We are looking for an experienced care professional with an understanding of medication management and CQC compliance. If you are passionate about providing high quality care for older people, enjoy teamwork and have strong communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Location: The service premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.

* Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* Supervise staff and ensure all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Promote and protect the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
* Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

Essential Criteria
* Vocational Qualification Level 3 Health and Social Care.
* Level 3 Medication Management.
* Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
* Maintain care plans and records in accordance with service policy and ensure audit readiness.
* Communication skills to build rapport with residents and inform colleagues and professionals about needs.
* Problem-solving skills to adapt to situations, develop solutions, and address safeguarding concerns.
* Assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan (e.g., bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and using the bathroom).
* Supervise staff providing support to residents in daily tasks.
* Dispense medication following service policies and procedures.
Experience & Qualities
* Previous experience in a similar care environment.
