The Vale of Glamorgan Community Mental Health Service for Older People is a multi‑disciplinary team of mental health professionals including social workers, psychiatric nurses and psychiatrists.
The team offers specialist secondary mental health care for adults living with dementia and people over 65 years with mental health problems.
The team works alongside specialist NHS services to support people to live well and safely in their own communities through the provision of recovery‑focused care and treatment.

About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 6, SCP 14‑19, £29,540‑£32,061.
Hours of Work: 37.
Main Place of Work: Llandough Hospital.
To undertake UA reviews, provide information and support to social workers with assessments and reviews and monitoring of user and carers needs.
About You
* Experience of working in a team.
* Experience of working with people in a paid, caring role or voluntary capacity.
* Some knowledge/understanding of ageing/illness/disability and its effects on individuals/families and their carers.
* Good standard of written and verbal communication skills, ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work on an inter‑agency basis.
* Understanding of service user needs.
* Commitment to personal development and training.
* Good standard of general education.
* Ability to work as part of a team, relate to and empathise with people.
* Creative and imaginative approach to problem solving.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Willingness to be supervised.
* Willingness to change work location as necessary.
