Are you passionate about learning and determined to make a real difference? We are seeking to appoint committed and inspirational Teaching Assistants who are able to obtain the best outcomes for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recording and reporting pupil's progress to the Teacher.
* Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.
* Help pupils develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
* Work with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors and psychologists.
* Actively work with pupils towards their individual achievement and objectives and success measures.
* Liaise with parents, carers and guardians when appropriate.
* Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs ensuring effective interaction.
* Provide specific support to pupils depending upon their individual needs ensuring their safety whilst supporting access to learning activities.
* Promote inclusion, self-esteem and independence and acceptance of all pupils.
* Provide some clerical/administration support to the teacher.
* Promote good behaviour and support learners to achieve learning goals.
Skills and Knowledge and Training:
* Appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience in working with children.
* Adaptable and able to work on their own initiative.
* Committed to working in partnership with colleagues, other professionals and families.
* Good personal numeracy and literacy skills.
* Patience and ability build and maintain stressful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration, and demonstrate concern for their development as learners.
* Sensitivity and Understanding.
* To be able to carry out basic tasks on the computer or handwritten.
* Confident to work in challenging environments and manage challenging behaviour.
* Non judgmental, flexible, adaptable, resilient, calm, self-motivated and compassionate.
