Role Overview
Working within our CRM Services team, you will lead two cross-functional engineering teams to deliver and support our CRM platforms using DevOps principles. You will be adept at delivering complex IT change and removing barriers to delivery to create an environment in which the team can succeed. Your responsibilities include coaching team members, facilitating continuous improvement, and applying agile and DevOps techniques to focus on delivering value aligned with the product or transformation vision.
The Delivery Manager will handle all line management aspects, leading high-performance, motivated teams with engaged and excited members. The role involves close collaboration with Product Owners and business stakeholders to develop and communicate roadmaps and shared visions.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Delivery
Accountable for delivering change and products using agile and DevOps principles through cross-functional teams. Responsible for delivery practices, output quality, and providing estimates and forecasts. Works with stakeholders to ensure roadmaps are understood and shared, and assumes Scrum Master responsibilities. Plans capacity and skills requirements proactively.
Line Management
Manages all team members, including contractors, with clear role profiles, regular discussions, and well-grounded appraisals. Provides oversight and mentoring to foster success.
Continuous Improvement
Ensures the team engages in continuous learning and feedback. Participates in the Delivery Manager community to share best practices and reapply skills.
Tools and Environment
Identifies necessary tools and environments to enable high performance.
Management Information
Provides regular performance reports against targets and budgets.
Stakeholder Management
Builds strong relationships across the organization, managing stakeholders effectively at various levels.
Candidate Requirements
* Scrum Master Certified or relevant experience
* Strong technical background to challenge and assess technical plans and issues
* Progression in a hands-on engineering career
* Experience managing multiple engineering teams, Salesforce, and cloud change/release management
* Ability to balance priorities and handle ambiguity
* Experience mentoring technical staff and leading cross-functional teams
* Senior stakeholder management experience
* Promotes continuous learning and team motivation
Desirable Skills
* Experience delivering IT change in payments processing
* Azure and Azure DevOps knowledge
* Familiarity with Product Ownership
