Are you passionate about ensuring safety excellence on high-profile infrastructure projects? We’re seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major power transmission frameworks across Scotland.
About the Role
In this critical role, you’ll be part of a dedicated HSE team working on high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects, supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy future. You’ll provide proactive, hands-on safety leadership across multiple project sites, working closely with construction and project teams to embed a robust health and safety culture from planning through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a positive H&S culture across all operational activities on site
Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments in line with project schedules
Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction training
Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
Collaborate with subcontractors and project stakeholders to drive best practice
Monitor and report on H&S performance metrics and KPIs
About You
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant legislation
Experience in the power transmission or civil engineering sectors preferred
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated with a hands-on, practical approach to H&S
